In 2017 Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi as well as Daddy Yankee released Despacito and it became the most-streamed song in just 6 months. In the year 2020, some Reggaeton musicians were complaining about the trend of their genre to the mainstream. But a newer generation such as Rauw Alejandro was determined to continue the evolution. It was often associated with electronic dance and other types.
