Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multi-cultural family. She was born in South London. Her father and mother have both been English. She went to The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the school was when she performed in various stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. She has since made appearances on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Following that she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. In the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl featured her in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe made an appearance in the comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. Her stage credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe had her official US debut in the 2009 Drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen for her as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe appeared in all episodes in the series' initial two seasons as an regular. However, in May 2013, the news broke that Madekwe will quit the show due to her guest appearance in the first episode of the series' third season. In 2014 and 2016, she starred in the role of Tituba the television series Salem. Madekwe and her partner of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he was also on the show with Madekwe in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty and four older brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's four brothers, who were all extremely athletic, played hockey during the winter and baseball during the summer months, which means they grew up mostly in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley didn't walk, instead she danced. At age two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley became passionate about dance immediately after that. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions in jazz, tap hip-hop, ballet lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics as well as pointe until the time she completed high school. Every big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the distinction of "top individualist".
