McKayla Rose Maroney is a retired American artistic gymnast and singer. She was a member of the American women's gymnastics team known as"the Fierce Five at the 2012 Summer Olympics at which she took home a gold medal in the team as well as a silver medal for her own in the vault event. Early life. McKayla Rose Maroney, daughter of Erin (died in the year 2019) along with Mike Maroney, was born on the 9th of December, 1995, Aliso Viejo. McKayla is of Irish Catholic descent. Tarynn Kav is her sibling. She homeschooled herself to be a gymnast. Maroney stated she "when I was younger I used to watch Tarzan, and run around on my all-fours. My mom would say, "I should put this child into gymnastics." Lauren Drain is a former church member from the Westboro Baptist Church who wrote the book of 2013 Banished that chronicles her experience and ultimately, the expulsion of the congregation. Lauren has been with the fitness model David Kagan (since August 2013) since they got married. They have their daughter Aria Skye Kagan, born on the 29th of December, 2019. She briefly lived on her own in Topeka, but was haunted by reminders of her banishment from her church and family. She eventually decided to relocate to Connecticut. Her mother, father along with her brother and sister all remain part of the same church. However, her parents as well as two of her sisters have cut off all contact with her.
